Reiki And Our Society

There are still so many questions about Reiki, this ancient form of healing energy. Our society tends to shy away from any alternative methods, believing that it’s all “woo woo stuff” and there is no evidence to prove its efficacy. On the contrary, Reiki has proven to be an incredible compliment to conventional treatments.
More and more hospitals are utilizing Reiki practitioners for their patients; primarily for oncology and cardiology patients. The findings are significant. There is an average of 35% reduction of pain with patients, which allows the doctors and surgeons to provide positive treatment results. Reiki sessions help the mind, body and spirit to relax and feel centered by balancing the body’s energy fields called chakras.
There are 7 major chakras in our bodies; root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown. When all of these energy wheels are balanced, then the body becomes relaxed, centered and balanced. As a result, the body is open to healing on all levels.
· Root: holds our familial and survival energy – “I Am”
· Sacral: holds our deepest emotions – “I Feel”
· Solar Plexus: is the center of our core energy – “I Act”
· Heart: our unconditional expression of love – “I Love”
· Throat: we speak our truth – “I Speak”
· Third Eye: our intuitive sight – “I See”
· Crown: our connection to the God/Universal Consciousness – “I know”
It’s important to know that Reiki practitioners are not healers; we are conduits for the Universal Life Force Energy. We are a community of Lightworkers who live with purpose and of service to others. There is no ego when we are giving a session; no expectations to heal. We leave that to the Universe to bring balance, so the body will heal itself at the best time for its highest good.
Reiki is the most gentle and loving form of energy work that can provide major changes to our healthcare system. Actually, Reiki is more openly accepted in Europe than our country. During my time in England, I was pleasantly surprised to see how well-received and practiced Reiki was…and still is.
I’m hoping for more open minds in our society to allow for a more integrative approach to healing.

I absolutely love this! Thank you for sharing.
